It is very possible that even after installing a range extender you do not have a Wi-Fi signal (or a good signal) everywhere in your home. There are several possible reasons.
• Always first check whether your range extender and router (or modem router) have established a good connection with each other. If not, your range extender will not be able to transmit a Wi-Fi signal.
• Then carefully examine the location in your home where you have placed the range extender. All Wi-Fi signals have trouble penetrating concrete walls, floors and ceilings. Metal objects, such as furniture, can also block a Wi-Fi signal. This may be preventing your Wi-Fi signal from reaching everywhere. If you have a house with four floors, for example, and your range extender is on the first floor, you may still have problems on the fourth floor, simply because the Wi-Fi signal is not able to fully penetrate all the concrete ceilings. In such cases other products, such as Sitecom Homeplugs, may be more suitable. Click here for more information on the positioning of your range extender.
